The Weasel Symphony
Cartoons by Steven Toth
Introduction: Peter Schickele (aka "P.D.Q. Bach") ("Steven Toth is the best thing that's happened to weasels since other weasels, and also the best thing to happen to music since other weasels.")

A new symphony orchestra has appeared on the cultural horizon. Although their repertoire is traditional, there is something distinctly unique about this group - they are all weasels! The book contains 88 scenes from a recent concert attended by the artist. One shows the irate pianist upset to discover a family of gysies living in his piano; two bassists - one tall and one small - are playing the same bass viol. Handel's Fireworks Music is conducted by a maestro waving a sparkler. Musicians and concert goers alike will have great fun with this one.
About the Illustrator
Steven Toth is an artist of wide and varying talents, not limited to his weasels, who have appeared in countless publications. He is well-known for his photographic works and his computerized wizardry as well. Not only does he attend concerts of classical music; he also sets up his easel on the stage and illustrates each piece as the orchestra plays! He has done this while being accompanied by the Hamilton Philharmonic, the Halifax Symphony, the Winnipeg Symphony - and others! Talk about multi-talented!

Reviews
"...the book offers a laugh a page: sometimes just a giggle, sometimes a real belly-laugh...One does not have to play an instrument to enjoy this book; it would appeal to anyone, young or old, and would be a super Christmas or birthday gift."
