A wildly successful book throughout North America - and elsewhere (the chapter on "Lake Monsters" was reprinted in Australia) - this one is popular with monster lovers of all ages. It's a cross-country survey of strange creatures, including Cadborosaurus (Vancouver Island's resident sea-serpent); the Sasquatch; Ogopogo, Manipogo and Igopogo (lake monsters), and many others. Here is a fascinating read, painstakingly researched and containing dozens of utterly serious eye-witness accounts. Contains an extensive bibliography and your own "Personal Sighting Record." Beautifully and abundantly illustrated in full-colour and black & white.

Monster!; The Toy Bear); and poetry: A Pioneer Place, Pioneer Woman, Stepping Stones. She was Feature Poet of the Year for the Tower Poetry Society of Hamilton Ontario.

"
Canada's Monsters is fascinating reading."

"Mrs. Garner's research appears thorough. Her bibliography is extensive, and includes material about sea creatures in general as well as about monster sightings and books about sea monsters. Canada's Monsters is written for children at the senior elementary level. But, chances are, their parents will read it too."

James Ross Hamilton Spectator
